Day 30- A picture of someone you miss

Josh & I miss Garrett ALOT! Even though he has been out over a year, our weekends aren't the same without him.

My little family

Day 26- Something that means alot to you

I have avoided this post for so long because I couldn't come up with anything unique. I don't have any particular talents, like the piano or singing.

My most obvious answer would be my son, Landon. I won't go into a huge, long story, but I have wanted to be mom for as long as I can remember. I loved babies and little kids. I always wanted to hold all the babies at church. When we decided we wanted to start our family, we had a hard time getting pregnant. Once we had been trying for 1 year, I never thought I'd get the chance to have children of my own. I was being a little dramatic, but I felt that it was never going to happen.

I am grateful for the opportunity I have to raise this cute boy and be his mommy. He makes me so happy and when I have a bad day, he makes everything go away. I love kissing his cheeks and he has the cutest gummy smile. He doesn't just mean alot to me; he means the world to me.

Back to work

Day 25- A picture of your day

I have neglected my blog once again. I recently went back to work and by the time I get home at night, the last thing I want to do is get on the computer. I'd rather be cuddling with Landon!

This is my desk. I am in front of this computer for 40 hours a week. I see this desk more than I see my husband and baby. It's funny because I know I will miss it so much in a few weeks. (I am taking a new job within the clinic. Maybe I'll post about it later.)

Across the pond

Day 24- A picture of something you wish you could change

+

This post requires 2 pictures because I would change where my parents live. They live in England and it is hard to have them so out of reach.

The Lovely Bones

Day 23- A picture of your favorite book

This is my favorite book. She is a great writer and the story intrigued me. It's an easy read, and I think I've read it at least 10 times.

Sewing

Day 22- A picture of something you wish you were better at
Sewing. My mom is a great seamstress and I have always been envious. She can whip out quilts like its no ones business. I've made a few things but I need practice. I don't have much patience for it, so that doesn't really help.

Shots

Day 21- A picture of something you wish you could forget
So, I had a hard time thinking about this one. There aren't many things I want to forget. I decied on the day Landon had shots. I cried, he cried, it was not fun. I didn't like hearing his scream.
He needed the shots, but I didn't want him to be in pain. I made Josh be the bad guy and hold him down. I sat in the corner & shed some tears. So, I guess thats something I wish I could forget (mainly the screaming/crying) but too bad I will have to re-live it in 2 months. Oh well.

My favorite Aldste Kundis

Day 19- A picture and a letter
Garrett,

Since you are a missionary right now, I figure you love to get letters! You probably won't read this for awhile, but that's ok. At the end of the month, you will hit your 1 year mark! I can't believe it. I am really excited because the next year mark will seriously fly by. I remember when I waited for Josh and he was gone 1 year, the next year flew by! I know you probably don't want it to fly by because you are enjoying your time in Sweden. That's what makes you such a great missionary. You are there because you want to be and enjoy what you are doing: serving our Heavenly Father. That is so important.

We miss you so much! Sometimes it feels like we should be calling you or picking you up from Wyview so we can hang out. Josh and I will talk about our fun times and we will both just crack up. We talk about the night at Famous Daves with Chris and Karen, a lot. "ATM! ATM!" (Adam! Adam!)

Thank you for being you. Seriously, I know it sounds dumb but it's true. You are one of my best friends. I think I miss you because I could always count on you to make me laugh. You have such a great personality and I am so glad you are one of my brothers! Your laugh is contagious... thinking of about you laughing makes me laugh! I hope you know we all love you so much. You are in our prayers daily! As I read your weekly emails, you have so much passion for what you are doing. I admire you. You are such a great example. You are awesome, Garrett!
I can't wait until we can all enjoy some black taco's from Taco Bell together! :)

1 year down, 1 year to go. You can do it! I love you, Garr!

Love,

Hillary

The obvious

Day 18- A picture of your biggest insecurity

My weight. I've never struggled with my weight until just recently for the obvious reasons: having a baby. I am really scared that I will never lose the baby weight, and I don't want to be "fat." I guess I should start exercising again...

I'm a Mom!

Day 17- A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

I became a mom. 2 months ago to be exact. (There aren't 29 days in February this year, so I guess today counts) It makes grocery shopping more complicated, but I am loving every minute.
It's crazy how you can love someone so much, who you just met. I can say I believe in love at first sight. :) I remember the first time I saw Landon in the O.R., I couldn't believe he was finally here. He was mine! He was fresh from heaven. I have waited my whole life for this opportunity and I am grateful for the exhaustion, spit up on my shirt and the piles of diapers. I wouldn't change it for the world.

The Dog

Day 16- A picture of someone who inspires you

Okay, let me explain. Sure, I love watching his show, but he truly is an inspiration to me. He has spent years in jail, became a crack-addict, kicked his habit and now he helps others get clean. He takes alot of drugs and guns off the street, too. He gives tough love, but when I watch his show and see that he truly has helped others who have drug problems, it makes me really happy. I think what makes me like him the most is he takes his fugitives to eat before he puts them in jail or rehab. Sounds dumb I know but, I like how he shows his sincere love and concern for them by feeding them before they are booked.

My wonderful husband. He is my everything!

Vanessa C.

Day 13- A picture of your favorite band or artist

Picture from here

Vanessa Carlton. I have loved her and her music since her first album. Josh & I listened to her all the time while we were dating (pre-mission) and we would analyze her songs while we drove around Great Falls. She is an incredible song-writer. Her music brings back a lot memories of that time and it makes me happy. I want to see her live sooo bad!

Click here to listen to one of my favorite songs by her. :)

Ugly Jeans

Day 11-A picture of something you hate

Jeans without back pockets. I hate them because they are ugly, period. I have never seen someone who looks good in them.
