I guess I'm officially a "wife" now...

Okay. Heres the deal. I honestly could never see myself sewing a quilt. I couldn't imagine making 2 quilts out of my own free will! I vowed to myself to never touch a sewing machine after the 8th grade for heavens sake. Since I got married, I have been pretty crafty. (I'm even shopping at the Quilted Bear!) I am more like my mother than I thought! She is the ultimate Martha Stewart, but I don't think I'll ever be as creative as her. The quilts were quite the adventure. A girl at work was making a quilt for her daughter and she let me peek at it. I absolutely fell in love with it for some reason. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. It just so happened that I had 2 brand new baby cousins. She copied the pattern for me and that night I went shopping for fabric! They turned out pretty cute, although they definitely aren't perfect. Thanks to Brenda lending me her sewing machine and Katie's emergency thread, they were both finished in about 2 months! I'm giving them to Sara and Brooke tomorrow, so I figured I better post some pictures before they were finally out of my hands. I deco-podged some picture frames at a Ward Activity that I'm pretty proud of. I think they are so cute and well... I want to show everyone! :)

Aren't they cute!?

I am so impressed!!! I have done one quilt and that was with help from my mom! I am scared to attempt one myself. I love the flower pattern. Those will definitely be something your cousins will treasure!
